Baltimore, MD – July 17, 2025 – ETCH, Inc. (ETCH), a revolutionary decarbonization company producing clean hydrogen and solid carbon from natural gas, announced today that it has named Ken Hughes VP of Engineering, a newly created role. With more than 30 years of experience in the chemicals sector, Hughes will lead the development and scale-up of ETCH’s Methane Decomposition Reactors (MDRs).

Hughes joins ETCH after 30 years with SI Group, Inc. From 2014 to 2025 he was responsible for Engineering, Project Execution and Global Commercialization across 12 sites. Hughes also brings experience in Production Engineering and Operations. Hughes received an AS in Mathematics and Applied Science from HVCC and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University.
